Description

Guppy grass (or najas guadalupensis) is a must-have aquarium plant. It’s hungry and will absorb your tanks excess nutrients. Breeders love this plant – the dense foliage provides amply cover for tiny fish fry or shrimp. The stems can be rooted into substrate or left to float in your water column.

NOTE for people who don’t want snails: I grow this in a tank with Malaysian trumpet snails. MTS snails don’t lay eggs, so any sneaky babies are really easy to remove just by shaking the plants around a bit. I do this before packing plants, but I recommend confirming for yourself that they are MTS-free before adding to your own tank.

I harvest my plants the day of shipment. Please check your temperatures! If it is very hot or cold, it could pose a risk to the plants.
